WINNIPEG, Manitoba-- The University of North Dakota diving teams competed at the Polar Bear Classic on Friday and Sunday. Clayton Metcalf won the platform dive Sunday to highlight the action.

Friday's action saw the women compete from the one-meter board. With just five dives instead of the standard six-dive scoring, Lexi Eissinger compiled a 181.80 score good for sixth place among the 16 divers participating.

The men's men's three-meter had Richard Eberle (307.20) and Metcalf (283.65) go second-third in the event.

The teams made the return trip back north of the border to compete in the platform event. There, Metcalf scored a 258.70 to win while Eberle was right behind at 248.65. On the women's side, Eissinger had UND's top score at 156.45 for sixth place.

The diving teams now focus on the Western Athletic Conference championships set for Feb. 26-Mar. 1 in San Antonio, Texas.
