GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The North Dakota men’s tennis team fell to Big Sky Conference opponent Eastern Washington by a score of 4-3 on Sunday afternoon at Choice Health and Fitness Center.

Eastern Washington edged UND in No. 3 doubles by a score of 8-7 (7-2) and North Dakota rallied in No. 2 doubles, winning with a score of 8-6.

The doubles point went to UND when the duo of senior Josh Oothoudt (Minot, N.D.) and junior Grant Bakke (Bismarck, N.D.) defeated the Eagles Robert Dula and Matt Boyle with a score of 8-7 (12-10).

The Eagles played strong throughout singles action, earning four points.

Oothoudt earned a point for UND in No. 3 singles, defeating Luke Thompson in three sets.

Freshman Dustin Britton (Plymouth, Minn.) beat Stefan Farrar in No. 5 singles.

UND will travel to Omaha, Nebraska on March 7 to play Creighton at 9:00 a.m.
