GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The University of North Dakota’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), in conjunction with UND’s Student Association of Nutrition and Dietetics (SAND), announced today UND student-athletes will be going door to door on Monday, March 31, to collect non-perishable food donations.

Monday’s food drive will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Grand Forks and East Grand Forks. All collections will be given to the Northlands Rescue Mission to benefit its “Fill the Gap” program that provides food to local families of need.

Both SAAC and SAND have been receiving donations on campus throughout the month of March and Monday’s door-to-door food drive will serve as the culmination of those month-long efforts.

The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is a leadership group made up of student-athlete representatives from each sports program at UND. It assists the department of athletics in addressing the needs and concerns of the student-athletes while also planning and executing community service efforts.
