Women's tennis defeated by Northern Colorado, 6-1

GREELEY, COLO. -- The University of North Dakota women's tennis team fell in conference play to Northern Colorado by a score of 6-1 at the Butler-Hancock Tennis Courts.

The Bears defeated UND in the three doubles matches. The closest match came from the duo of senior Stephanie Petsis (Toronto, Ontario) and freshman Mikaela Bennett (Calgary, Alberta) who fell to Stephanie Catlin and Beth Coton by a score of 8-5.

Petsis was the lone singles winner for North Dakota. She beat Adriana Nieto in a close No. 1 singles match. Petsis earned the first set 6-4 but dropped the second set 6-7 (6-8). She rallied in the third to secure the match point.

UND will play Air Force on Saturday, April 5 at 11:00 a.m.
