Jason Namanny was elevated to associate director of marketing in May 2014 after serving as assistant marketing director in 2013-14.
Namanny oversees the development and execution of marketing and promotion plans for UND football, men's basketball, women's hockey and baseball. He also serves as the game producer for football, coordinating public address, music and video board operations, and in-game promotions.
Additionally, Namanny plans and executes special events for UND Athletics, including Hockey FanFest and Football FanFest, and manages all marketing and operations of Jr. Champions, the official kids club of UND Athletics.
Namanny joined UND in July 2013 after spending the previous two years at San Jose State University, the first year as an intern and the second year as a graduate assistant.
While at SJSU, Namanny developed and implemented marketing plans for every ticketed sport. He also oversaw and directed gameday marketing efforts including video board operations, in-game promotions, fan giveaways and game atmosphere.
Namanny earned master's degrees in kinesiology and sports management from SJSU in 2013.
Namanny's previous marketing experience also includes two years as an athletics marketing and promotions assistant at his alma mater, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He received his bachelor's degree in recreation administration and sports management from Cal Poly in 2009.
