Calin Burger joined the University of North Dakota prior to the 2013-14 season as an Athletics Academic Services assistant.
As a member of the Athletics Academic Services staff for UND Athletics, Burger assists in providing direct, one-on-one academic eligibility advising and counseling throughout the year to UND's 400-plus student-athletes. He also supervises the Schubert Athletics Academic Center.
Burger came to UND from Marshall University, where he received a bachelor's degree in sports management and marketing in 2011 and a master's degree in sport administration in 2013.
While at Marshall, Burger spent two years as a graduate assistant with the Marshall University HELP Program. He designed rigorous tutoring sessions for students based on their individual academic skills while helping to ensure the academic eligibility of 100 percent of all assigned student-athletes.
Burger also served as an Academic and Student Services intern at Kent State University during the summer of 2012.
A native of West Middlesex, Pa., Burger is currently taking educational leadership graduate courses at UND. He is a member of both the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi and the Golden Key International Honor Society.
