This Week
The University of North Dakota soccer team hits the road this weekend for a pair of non-conference games. UND will travel to Chicago to take on Chicago State on Friday, Aug. 29, and concludes its trip in Green Bay, Wis., in a showdown with Green Bay on Sunday, Aug. 31.

Last Time Out
North Dakota opened the season with a 1-0 road loss to in-state rival North Dakota State on Aug. 22. UND was then scheduled to face South Dakota State on Aug. 24, but due to the heavy rain in Grand Forks the previous evening, the game was cancelled because of poor field conditions.

About Chicago State
Chicago State enters Friday’s match following a road-split the previous weekend. The Cougars fell 7-0 to the Arkansas-Little Rock on Aug. 22. However, the Cougars were able to rebound the following day with a 4-1 win over the Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

This year marks the inaugural season of women’s soccer for Chicago State. The Cougars will compete in the Western Athletic Conference this season.

The Cougars are led by head coach Tony Tommasi.

Versus the Cougars
This is the first meeting between UND and Chicago State.

About Green Bay
Green Bay enters the weekend following a home-split. The Phoenix defeated IUPUI, 3-1, Aug. 22, but fell Aug. 24, 2-0, to Ball State. Green Bay hosts Northern Iowa on Friday, Aug. 29, before hosting UND on Sunday, Aug. 31.

Green Bay is looking to improve after a 4-8-5 record and 1-5-1 Horizon League record from 2013.

The Phoenix are led by junior forward Heidi Hartmann who has two goals in her first two games this season.

Versus the Phoenix
This will be the fourth overall meeting between Green Bay and UND. Green Bay leads the series 3-0-0. This will be the third meeting in Green Bay, with the previous match being a 3-1 Phoenix victory in 2011.
