North Dakota returns from its holiday break with an exhibition tilt against the United States Under-18 National Team on Saturday night at Ralph Engelstad Arena.
The Fighting Hawks resume the regular season slate next weekend at home against NCHC rival Omaha.
All UND men’s hockey games, home and away, can be heard on stations across the UND Sports Home of Economy Radio Network, as well as through the iHeart Radio app. The flaghsip station for the network is 96.1 FM (The Fox). Longtime broadcaster Tim Hennessy, in his 39th season as the voice of UND men’s hockey, calls the action while Steve Olson provides color analysis.
Saturday’s game will be telecast live on Midco Sports Network, with play-by-play voice Alex Heinert and color analyst and former UND goaltender Jake Brandt calling the action. Katie Hale is the rinkside reporter.
Saturday’s game will also be streamed live via NCHC.tv.

Tickets remain available for Saturday night’s exhibition game, which is also Military Appreciation Night. Twenty-dollar tickets are available to military personnel and up to four dependants.

Two hockey jerseys signed by the 2017-18 Fighting Hawks featuring special camouflage numbers and letters will be auctioned off during Saturday’s game as part of Military Appreciation Night.
The silent auction will take place at the booth located by Section 116 on the main concourse. Bids will be accepted until 10 minutes remain in the third period.

The U.S. Under-18 Team last played on Dec. 19, a 6-3 loss against the USHL’s Muskegon Lumberjacks. Ty Emberson, Jack DeBoer and Spencer Stastney accounted for the goals in the loss.
Team USA is 14-12-0 on the season and is led offensively by the forward duo of Oliver Wahlstrom (26 GP, 16-15--31) and Joel Farabee (26 GP, 13-14--27).
Drew DeRidder (19 GP) and Jonathan Mor (13) have shared time in goal so far. DeRidder is 10-5-0 with a 2.59 goals against average and .906 save percentage, while Mor has gone 4-5-0 with a 4.10 GAA and .862 SV%.
