OGDEN, Utah-- Weber State swept a Tuesday doubleheader over UND at Wildcat Park, a series that was shifted to Ogden, Utah, from an originally-scheduled series set for Grand Forks, N.D. The Wildcats took advantage of the extra home games, winning 4-0 and 9-6 in the first two games of the series.

GAME ONE
Weber State 4, North Dakota 0
The Fighting Hawks had runners on in all but one inning but failed to scratch across a run as the Wildcats claimed a 4-0 decision in the opener.

UND's threats were each ended by double plays in the first two innings to keep the game scoreless. Weber State (19-17, 7-4 Big Sky) then got its first two runs in the third to claim the advantage, then added single tallies in the fifth and seventh for insurance.

Weber State starter Kirtlyn Bohling was up to the task in the circle, tossing a complete game shutout with 11 strikeouts on six hits.

Kaylin VanDomelen scattered eight hits over her seven innings, allowing a pair of earned runs while striking out five in the loss. At the plate, VanDomelen singled in all three plate appearances for half of UND's hit total. Taylor Nadler, Dani Romero and Marina Marzolino all added singles for North Dakota.

GAME TWO
Weber State 9, North Dakota 6
North Dakota posted a six-spot in a huge fourth-inning rally, but Weber State squared it up in the fifth, then grabbed three more in the sixth to win it. WSU had opened a 5-0 cushion early on, scoring in each of the first three innings until the UND bats came alive. In that fourth inning, UND sent 10 batters to the plate and erased that five-run deficit to take a 6-5 lead.

It started with each of the first four batters reaching, including singles by Romero, Alicia Young and Deja Miller. Three batters later, Taylor Nadler tripled to clear the bases and tie the score at 5-5. Marina Marzolino then gave the Fighting Hawks the lead with a single to center as UND grabbed the momentum.

It would be short-lived, however, as WSU tied the game in the top of the next inning then batted around in the sixth to plate three more.

Nadler had three hits and drove in three in game two. Marzolino and Miller each added a pair of hits as North Dakota totaled 10 hits in the nightcap.

The teams will wrap the series Wednesday with a single game set for 4:00 p.m. Central.
