LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- The North Dakota women's golf team wrapped up its fall season in record-breaking fashion at the Aggie Invitational Tuesday. Junior Jenna Janu broke the program's Division I individual 54-hole scoring mark with a 219 (+3) finish to tie for sixth, while the Fighting Hawks also established a 54-hole DI team scoring mark with a 910 (+46) total.

"I thought our key this week was consistency. If we had a bad hole, we didn't let that affect our next one and that really helped us put three solid rounds together," UND head coach Natalie Martinson said. "This was a great way to finish off our fall season and give us some momentum going into the break."

Janu, who carded a 74 (+2) in the third round at the New Mexico State Golf Course, eclipsed her own mark of 222 (+6) that she set at the 2016 Hobble Creek Fall Classic. She now holds the top three marks in the record book and was joined in the top five by freshman Ashley Guggisberg, who birdied her last hole to finish with a 224 (+8) total. Guggisberg posted a 75 (+3) in her final round to tie for 15th.

Sophomore Ally Rogers gave UND three top-20 finishers as she saved her best round for last, carding a 74 (+2). Rogers made a team-high four birdies during her final loop in the Land of Enchantment and finshed tied for 20th with a 227 (+11) total, which is tied for the eighth-best 54-hole score in UND's DI history.

As a team, UND shattered its old scoring mark of 921 (+57) set at the 2015 Big Sky Championship and finished seventh overall in the 10-team field. The Fighting Hawks have only had two better team rounds during its DI era, than the three they produced at New Mexico State this week. The team's second-round 302 (+14) was the third best in program history.

Sacramento State extended its lead and ran away with the team title, posting a 54-hole total of 871 (+7). Weber State's Kiselya Plewe carded her third-consecutive 71 (-1) to capture medalist honors by two strokes with a 213 (-3) total.

UND opens the spring season in March at the Jackrabbit Invitational in Boulder City, Nev.
