LAST ACTION: The Fighting Sioux earned a series split for the second time this season against the defending national champion Wisconsin Badgers.

On Friday, the Sioux used goals by team leader Alyssa Wiebe, sophomore Sara Dagenais and senior Alex Williams to go up 3-0 while redshirt freshman Jorid Dagfinrud held the Badgers scoreless until they pulled their goaltender and scored with only 27 seconds remaining. Dagfinrud mad 26 saves in the game.

In the finale, both goaltenders shined but Wisconsin was able to edge the Sioux 2-0. Badger netminder Becca Ruegsegger stopped all 27 shots she faced while Dagfinrud allowed one goal on 37 shots (UW scored an empty-net goal).
