BROOKINGS, S.D. -- Senior Emily Emerson and freshman Erin Wysocki each enjoyed top-20 finishes today to lead the North Dakota women's cross country team at the South Dakota State Classic at the Edgebrook Golf Course.
Emerson placed 13 with a time of 18:14.6, while Wysocki finished 19th with a time of 18:53.7 in a race that featured 114 total runners.
Minnesota senior Stephanie Price captured medalist honors with a time of 17:19.1
UND placed fifth in the team standings with 144 points. Minnesota won the event with 18.
The Sioux return to action Oct. 15 at the USD Tim Young Invitational, then will host the 2011 Great West Conference Championship Oct. 29 at Ray Richards Golf Course in Grand Forks.
