GRAND FORKS, N.D.-- University of North Dakota head baseball coach Jeff Dodson announced another addition to his Fall 2013 class, welcoming Justus Nelson to his program. A Plymouth, Minn. native, Nelson has started since his sophomore year at catcher for Robinsdale Armstrong High School.

“We are excited to bring Justus into the UND Baseball program," Dodson said. "He will add depth at the catching position for us. We really like his mentality, work ethic and commitment to the University of North Dakota."

Nelson was an all-conference selection as a junior and was named a team captain for his senior campaign. He was also a three-year player for the Minnesota Blizzard, winning a pair of national tournaments. He earned the Leadership Award while playing for the Blizzard.

“I really look forward to the direction the UND baseball program is headed in the next four years," Nelson said.

He is planning on majoring in physical therapy at UND and chose the school because he fell in love with the campus on his visit and liked the way the UND baseball program is run.
