Team DeVillers ties Blue Moose series with 8-5 win

GRAND FORKS, N.D.- Coach Brian DeVillers' squad evened the Blue Moose Classic Series with an 8-5 win over coach J.C. Field's team in the fall intrasquad best-of-five series Wednesday. 

DeVillers' squad rallied from a 3-2 loss Saturday by posting seven runs in the second thru the fourth innings to secure the win.  Patrick Vandoorne was 2-for-3 and scored four runs and Daniel Lockhert and Taylor Petersen added two hits apiece for the winning team.

Alex Twenge was credited with the win on the mound while A.J. Anderson picked up the save.

Patrick Riewer went 2-for-3 with two runs scored in the loss.  Ellery Bresnehan took the loss for Team Field.

Game three of the sixth annual Blue Moose Classic is set for 4:00 p.m. Thursday at Kraft Field.
