LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- Idaho State captured the doubles point and went on to take four of six singles matches, defeating North Dakota 5-2 today at Bally's Resort.
Sophomores Stephanie Petsis and Stephanie Biehn teamed for UND's lone doubles win, defeating Katharina Marsela and Laura Porras 8-4 in No.1 doubles action.
Petsis also got the best of Marsela in No. 1 singles action, winning 6-0 and 6-2.
UND's other singles win was provided by Sarah Stejskal at No. 4 singles. The sophomore dumped Marian Tangarife 6-3 and 6-1.
The Sioux are back in action tomorrow with matches against San Jose State and Southern Utah.
