GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- The North Dakota women's tennis team fell to South Dakota State Friday night by a score of 4-2 at the Choice Health and Fitness Center.

UND earned the doubles point by earning victories in both No. 1 and No. 3 doubles.

Junior Stephanie Petsis (Toronto, Ontario) and sophomore Callie Ronkowski (Grand Forks, N.D.) defeated Jenny Blackburn and Ffion Davies , 8-6, in No. 1 doubles.

UND senior Megan Sween (Grand Forks, N.D.) and sophomore Shaylin Prout (Thunder Bay, Ontario) followed with an 8-5 win against Tacy Haws-Lay and Tiffany Filipovic in No. 3 doubles.

Ronkowski continued to play strong as she defeated Blackburn in No. 2 singles, winning 6-3 and 6-2.

UND wraps up its homestand on Saturday against Montana State at 1 p.m.
