GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- North Dakota tennis player Callie Ronkowski was named the Big Sky's Co-Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

Callie Ronkowski, a junior from Grand Forks, N.D., helped North Dakota extend its winning streak to four duals this past weekend.

She went undefeated, winning both No. 2 singles matches and a No. 2 doubles match against Idaho State and a No. 1 doubles match against Nebraska-Omaha. Ronkowski only lost two games in singles competition over the weekend, downing Idaho State’s Kasey Bacon, 6-2, 6-0, and Omaha’s Molly Matricardi, 6-0, 6-0.

The weekly award is the second for Ronkowski, who was named Player of the Week on Feb. 11 for her efforts against Northern Iowa, Creighton and Western Illinois.

Portland State's Sabina-Elena Preda was also named Women's Tennis Co-Player of the Week, while Northern Colorado's Ben Gendron earned the honor on the men's side.

The UND women's tennis team hosts Eastern Washington for a lone dual on Monday, March 3 at noon.
