Ogden, Utah – The University of North Dakota women’s tennis team fell in its final regular season match on Saturday afternoon to Weber State by a score of 6-1.

The match started off strong for UND. North Dakota earned the doubles point, winning all three matches.

Junior Stephanie Petsis (Toronto, Ontario) and sophomore Callie Ronkowski (Grand Forks, N.D.) won 8-4 in No. 1 doubles.

In No. 2 doubles, senior Megan Sween (Grand Forks, N.D.) and junior Stephanie Biehn (Sherburn, Minn.) defeated Ashley Tanner and Michelle Warwick by a score of 8-3.

The dou of junior Sarah Stejskal (Grand Rapids, Minn.) and senior Mindy Lawrence (Park Rapids, Minn.) defeated Carly Lloyd and Nittaya Phonharath by a score of 8-4 in No. 3 doubles.

Weber State rallied in the singles action, winning all six matches.

UND will now prepare for the Big Sky Conference Tournament which will take place April 26-27 in Sacramento, California.
Sophomore Cortez Seales scored 17 points off the bench to help UND register its first win in Ogden in five tries.
