GRAND FORKS, N.D. --- The University of North Dakota tennis teams recently completed its first season in the Big Sky Conference and reflected back on the year as it announced its 2013 team awards.

The most valuable awards went to juniors Josh Oothoudt (Minot, N.D.) and Stephanie Petsis (Toronto, Ontario). The two combined for 14 individual wins and 13 doubles wins on the year.

Women’s Most Valuable Player – Stephanie Petsis, Jr. (Toronto, Ontario)
Men’s Most Improved Player – Jared Vigen, So. (Grand Forks, N.D.)
Women’s Most Improved Player – Mindy Lawrence, Sr. (Park Rapids, Minn.)
Men’s Newcomer Award – Connor Oberle, Fr. (Excelsior, Minn.)
Women’s Newcomer Award – Alyssa Carlson, Fr. (Park Rapids, Minn.)
Men’s Captain Award – Ryan McGuigan, Jr. (Fargo, N.D.)
Men’s Community Service Award – Joe Lee, So. (Grand Forks, N.D.)
