PARK CITY, Utah – Senior Greg Hardin was the lone Big Sky player to find his name twice on the league’s preseason all-conference team released on Monday at the Big Sky Kickoff Event in Park City, Utah. Hardin was named to the team as both a wide receiver and kickoff returner, while North Dakota was picked to finish seventh in both the preseason coaches and media polls released as well.

Hardin made a splash in his new league in 2012, breaking the Big Sky single-game record with a 333-yard receiving performance in a 40-34 win over Montana. The Bellevue, Neb., native finished with 65 catches for 1,145 yards and 14 touchdowns en route to being named the College Football Performance Awards Elite FCS Wide Receiver.

He also led the Big Sky with a 31.6 kickoff return average despite never returning kicks at any level of football before the campaign. His 98-yard return vs. Southern Utah was the second longest in UND history. He averaged 151.6 all-purpose yards per game, which also topped the league.

Montana State was picked to win the league championship by both the media and the coaches after sharing the 2012 title with Eastern Washington and Cal Poly. The Bobcats’ senior quarterback DeNarius McGhee was picked as the preseason Offensive Player of the Year, while Montana linebacker Jordan Tripp earned the Defensive Player of the Year honor.
