MINNEAPOLIS – The University of North Dakota women’s tennis team opened the 2014 season at the Baseline Tennis Center, dropping a 7-0 decision to Minnesota on Sunday.

The Golden Gophers took all three matches in doubles play and finished out the day winning all six singles matches.

In doubles competition, the duo of Stephanie Biehn and Mikaela Bennett took their match to a seventh point, but lost the tie-break. All six of the singles matches were won in two sets.

UND travels south next weekend, taking on Iowa State on Friday, Jan. 31, and Drake on Saturday, Feb. 1.
