North Dakota women's tennis falls to Iowa State

Ames, Iowa – The University of North Dakota women’s tennis team played in its second match of the season on Friday morning, falling to Iowa State University by a score of 7-0 at Ames Racquet and Fitness Center.

Iowa State won all three of the doubles competitions and earned the doubles point to start the match.

The Cyclones continued to play strong throughout the match, winning all six singles matches.

Three of the singles matches went to three sets. In No. 2 singles, junior Callie Ronkowski (Grand Forks, N.D.) won her first set against Samantha Budai before dropping the final two.

Freshmen Lacey Sprinkel (Minneapolis, Minn.) and Faith Lee (Green Bay, Wis.) also had three set matches against Iowa State in No. 3 and No. 5 singles.

North Dakota will travel to Des Moines, Iowa on Saturday to play Drake.
