NORWALK, Calif. – Stephanie Clarke’s assault on the North Dakota record books continued on Saturday at the Long Beach Invitational at Cerritos College.

The freshman from Edmonton, Alberta, ran a blistering 400-meter dash, crossing the line in 56.02 seconds and staking claim to her fourth different school record this season. Clarke broke Heidi Faul’s 12-year old standard of 56.13 seconds and now holds school indoor and outdoor records in the 400 and 200-meter dashes.

Another UND freshman, Jayd Eggert (Minot, N.D.), shattered her personal record in the javelin with a mark of 45.40 meters (148’11”). She placed fourth among the nearly 50 competitors in the event and her throw was the fifth-best Big Sky mark of the season as of Saturday night.

Senior Kirsten Haas (Belgrade, Mont.) ran the Big Sky’s fourth-fastest 400-meter hurdles, clocking in at 1 minute, 1.38 seconds.
