GRAND FORKS, N.D. – University of North Dakota track and field coach Kevin Galbraith announced today that nine recruits have signed National Letters of Intent to join his women’s program for the 2014-15 season: Natasha Brown (Edmonton, Alberta), Molli Detloff (Elk River, Minn.), Rachel Dryburgh (Hillsboro, N.D.), Erin Harris (Sidney, Mont.), Heather Harrower (Nederland, Colo.), Courtney Heupel (Medina, N.D.), Martha Hubbell (Mendota Heights, Minn.), Courtney Nepstad (Hendrum, Minn.), and Katelyn Weber (St. Clair, Minn.).

Natasha Brown || Sprints || Edmonton, Alberta || J.H. Picard Catholic School
Ranked second nationally in the Canadian Youth Division in the 100-meters and fifth in the 200-meters in 2013 … Owns personal-bests of 11.92 seconds in the 100-meters, 24.53 in the 200-meters and 7.69 in the 60-meters … Plans to major in physical education, exercise science and wellness.

Molli Detloff || Throws || Elk River, Minn. || Elk River High School
Placed third in the discus at the 2014 state meet … Also finished third as a freshman in 2011 … Owns PRs of 142 feet, 6 inches, in the discus and 41-0 in the shot put … Also played basketball and tennis as a prep.

Rachel Dryburgh || Hurdles || Hillsboro, N.D. || Hillsboro High School
Class B state champion in the 200-meters and state runner-up in both the 400-meters and 300-meter hurdles … Owns personal-bests of 44.91 in the 300-hurdles and 25.54 in the 200-meters … Plans to major in pre-physical therapy.

Erin Harris || Javelin, Pole Vault || Sidney, Mont. || Sidney High School
Placed third in the pole vault at the 2014 Montana state meet … Owns a PR of 10-6 in the pole vault and 132-9 in the javelin … Older brother, Matt, recently completed his senior season on UND’s men’s track and field team.

Heather Harrower || Sprints || Nederland, Colo. || Fairview High School
Colorado’s 2014 Class 5A state champion in the 400-meters with a PR of 54.90 seconds … Plans to major in biology.

Courtney Heupel || Sprints/Hurdles || Medina, N.D. || Medina Public School
Placed third in both the 400-meters and 300-meter hurdles and the 2014 North Dakota Class B state meet … Owns personal-bests of 46.59 in the 300-hurdles and 59.00 in the 400-meters.

Martha Hubbell || Distance || Mendota Heights, Minn. || Visitation High School
Won the 2013 Milaca Cross Country Mega Meet with a PR of 14 minutes, 30.80 seconds … Was Visitation’s top runner throughout the 2013 season and placed fourth at the Section 3AA Cross Country Championship … Owns a PR of 11:10.06 in the 3,200-meters.

Courtney Nepstad || Sprints || Hendrum, Minn. || Park Christian High School
Placed sixth in the 400-meters at the Minnesota Class A state meet with a PR of 58.59 … Also owns PRs of 12.5 in the 100-meters and 26.17 in the 200-meters … Plans to major in physical education, exercise science and wellness.

Katelyn Weber || Throws || St. Clair, Minn. || St. Clair High School
Two-time Minnesota state champion in the shot put (2014, 2013) … Also won state championship in the discus as a senior after placing second as a junior … Placed seventh in both events as a sophomore … Owns PRs of 47-2 in the shot put and 135-4 in the discus … Also played basketball and volleyball as a prep … Plans to major in chemistry or forensic sciences.
