MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Kirsten Haas and Molly Griep each provided North Dakota with runner-up finishes Saturday during the final day of competition at the Coastal Carolina University Shamrock Invitational.
Haas came through with a second-place finish in the 400-meters, where the Belgrade, Mont., native clocked a time of 1 minute, 02.58 seconds.
Griep, meanwhile, was the runner-up in the discus with a throw of 44.44 meters (145, 10 inches). She also placed 11th in the shot put.
Another freshman thrower, Jayd Eggert (Minot, N.D.), placed fifth in the javelin with a mark of 40.78 meters (133 feet, 9 inches).
Senior Megan Gray (St. Cloud, Minn.) was third in the heptathlon, recording 4,167 points.
In the 1,500-meters, senior Lindsay Anderson (Leeds, N.D.) placed seventh with a time of 4:43.18.
Junior Savana Weller (Sauk Centre, Minn.) took ninth in the 800-meters with a time of 2:16.86.
UND is now idle until April 6 when it competes in the Dakota Duals in Fargo.
