GRAND FORKS, N.D.-- The White team rallied from down two sets to none to take a 3-2 (17-25, 20-25, 25-19, 28-26, 15-10) win over the Green team in the Green-White intrasquad scrimmage Saturday afternoon at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center. Four players from the winning side tallied double-digit kill totals, including a triple-double from setter Nikki Husfeldt who tallied 10 kills and 14 digs to go along with her 45 assists.

"We got to see some people in certain positions," UND head coach Ashley Hardee said of the chance to evaluate his team. "We have some competition at outside hitter spots and we got some swings for people that needed them and got some work for some back row players as well."

Junior Emily Asche got an extended look at hitter for the Green squad, taking 67 swings and killing a match-high 18 balls. Junior Lexi Robinson produced 14 kills on 39 swings to pace the White offense with Emily Thompson adding 13 kills and Ronni Munkeby 11.

The scrimmage served as the final tune-up before the UND Classic open the regular season. The tournament runs Aug. 30-31 at the Betty with UND facing No. 15 Iowa State Friday at 7:00 p.m. before a Saturday doubleheader with South Dakota State (1:00 p.m.) and Texas A&M in the finale (7:00 p.m.).
