SACRAMENTO, Calif.-- Visiting North Dakota extended its winning streak to six straight, staying perfect in Big Sky Conference play with a 3-1 win over Sacramento State Saturday afternoon.

"We got a nice lift from Candice Yager and Emily Thompson today," UND head coach Ashley Hardee said. "It's a long season and we have to continue to get better every day."

It was another solid hitting performance by UND, finishing at a .336 clip, coming off its .500 performance in the sweep of North Dakota State on Monday. Included in that percentage Saturday was a fourth-set effort of .410 (20 kills, 4 errors, 39 attempts).

UND (10-7, 5-0 Big Sky) had to rally from losing the first set, but did so with convincing wins in the following three sets. Sacramento State (8-9, 3-3) eeked out a 25-23 victory in that first set that had 10 tie scores and three lead changes. From there, the score would only be tied three times with two lead changes in sets two through four combined as the visitors posted 25-16, 25-17 and 25-18 wins, respectively.

Freshman Anna Pioske, who led UND in kills Monday, once again led the way with 15 kills on 33 swings with four errors. Senior Ronni Munkeby also had 15 finishes to go along with six total blocks and a pair of service aces. Junior Lexi Robinson added a dozen kills while senior Lisa Parlich chipped in eight and Thompson totaled seven on just 14 attempts.

North Dakota remains on the road and will head to Greeley, Colo., to face defending league tourney champion Northern Colorado. First serve is set for 8:00 p.m. Central on Monday. UNC won all three meetings between the schools last season.
