OGDEN, Utah-- Big Sky Conference officials have named UND senior Ronni Munkeby its choice for league player of the week, announced Monday. Munkeby helped North Dakota to a pair of road wins to open conference play last week.

Munkeby tallied a pair of 13-kill matches to help North Dakota to a perfect 2-0 road trip at Montana State and Montana. The Lisbon, N.D. native also added seven total blocks and a service ace on the week.

Munkeby's 26 kills came on just 48 attempts with eight errors for a .375 hitting percentage, part of UND's league-leading .271 clip as a team. Munkeby sets the pace in the Big Sky with her 1.24 blocks per set average.

North Dakota started the week on Monday on the road against South Dakota. Munkeby had 12 kills on a .269 hitting percentage with five blocks against the Coyotes.

For the week, Munkeby had 38 kills on a .338 hitting percentage. She also added six digs and 12 blocks.

North Dakota returns home for its next three matches, beginning with Weber State and Idaho State on Thursday and Saturday, respectively. Next Monday features the in-state rivalry matchup against North Dakota State.
