PORTLAND, Ore.-- Senior Ronni Munkeby was named to the All-Big Sky Conference First Team while Anna Pioske took home co-Freshman of the Year, highlighting a group of four UND players lauded with postseason accolades Thursday. Senior Lisa Parlich and junior Nikki Husfeldt were part of the second team and Pioske also grabbed an honorable mention nod.

Munkeby became the 15th UND player to surpass 1,000 kills, currently 12th in the record books with 1,092 kills in her decorated career. She is fourth in the league in hitting (.312) and averages 3.13 kills per set, sixth-most in the conference. Her 1.11 blocks per set are also eighth in the Big Sky. The senior co-captain was a back-to-back winner of the league's player of the week in September and follows up her second team honor from a year ago.

Parlich, also a co-captain, leads the conference in hitting percentage heading into the league tournament (.371). That average is 40th in all of NCAA Division I through the end of the regular season. The Delavan, Wis., native is fourth in the league in blocks (1.21/set) and her 3.04 kills per set average ranks eighth. She is just 26 kills shy of 1,000 in her career.

Husfeldt is already third on the UND all-time list for assists with 3,942 helpers in her three seasons. She averages 10.94 assists this season, most in the Big Sky and 39th in all of NCAA. The Andover, Minn., product has also added 67 kills, 248 digs and 65 total blocks this season with a team-high eight double-doubles.

Pioske cracked the starting lineup in her rookie season and has produced 320 kills and 235 digs as a freshman, both totals third-most on the team. A Waconia, Minn., native, Pioske churned out 16 kills in a breakout match against Austin Peay on Sep. 6. She started every match thereafter, producing 16 different matches with double digit kill totals. She racked up 44 kills in back-to-back wins at Idaho State (23) and Weber State (21) on Nov. 1 and 2, respectively, to win Big Sky Player of the Week accolades.

Portland State setter Garyn Schlatter won the Big Sky Most Valuable Player with her teammate Kasimira Clark earning the Libero of the Year. Pioske shared Freshman of the Year honors with Montana State's Kennadie Clute and Weber State's Samantha Staker was the league's top newcomer.

North Dakota (22-10) has earned the No. 2 seed in the Big Sky Conference Tournament set to begin Friday at the Stott Center on the campus of Portland State. UND will get the winner of Friday's quarterfinal match between No. 3 Idaho State and six-seed Northern Colorado. The semifinal match is set for 7:00 p.m. Central.
