MISSOULA, Mont. - The University of North Dakota is looking to accomplish one of the rarest feats in Big Sky basketball - earning a sweep in the Treasure State. The Green and White will be the first league team to even have a chance at that after knocking off Montana State 82-73 on Thursday in Bozeman.
The back-end of the team's two-game trip will be the toughest, however, as league-leading Montana awaits the Green and White tonight.
The Griz own an unblemished record in Big Sky play this season at 13-0 and those 13 straight wins gives Montana the nation's second longest current win streak in Division I basketball.
And, Montana is also looking to set a Big Sky record tonight by winning its 25th straight Big Sky regular season game. UND will to snap that streak and move to 8-6 in conference play.
