Pair of sophomores leave women's basketball team

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – University of North Dakota head women's basketball coach Travis Brewster announced today that sophomore guards Cy'erra Mills and Brianna Williams have elected to leave the program effective immediately with the intention of transferring upon completion of the spring semester.

Mills and Williams, both of whom are natives of Minneapolis, each appeared in all 27 games this season. Mills made seven starts, averaging 18.3 minutes and 3.4 points per game. Williams made 19 starts, averaging 18.9 minutes and 3.5 points per game.

"Cy’erra and Brianna both indicated to me that they had been considering a change of scenery and have made the decision to showcase their abilities elsewhere. I will support them in their efforts and I wish them all the best in their future endeavors," said Brewster.

UND hosts Eastern Washington on Saturday, March 2, at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center, the final home game of the 2012-13 season. Tip-off is scheduled for noon Central. UND will close out the regular season on the road at Southern Utah on Saturday, March 9.
