ABOUT THE CYCLONES
The Cyclones debuted at No. 20 in the USA Today Coaches Preseason Poll. The Cyclones were one of four Big 12 teams in the preseason rankings joining No. 10 Baylor, No. 14 Oklahoma and No. 24 Oklahoma State. ISU was also ranked 23rd in the AP Poll ... Iowa State has won 70-straight regular season non-conference games at Hilton Coliseum. The streak dates back to the 2003-04 season.

SERIES HISTORY WITH IOWA STATE
The Cyclones hold a 2-0 edge against North Dakota all-time. Last season, ISU defeated UND, 73-34 on Nov. 18, 2012.

ABOUT THE PANTHERS
The Panthers have won 17 or more games in four consecutive seasons and made their fourth straight post-season appearance, which is the longest streak in school history ... Last year, UNI picked up its first WNIT win in school history, defeating Marquette 61-59 in the first round of play ... Going into 2013-14, the UNI women’s basketball program is 62-34 inside the McLeod Center, including seven wins at home during the 2012 season ... North Dakota held its opponent to 66 points in each of its two exhibition wins last week. UND ousted Minnesota Crookston, 85-66 on Nov. 2 before a Tuesday 78-66 win over Bemidji State.

IOWA CONNECTIONS
There are plenty of connections to the Hawkeye state with this UND team.

*Head coach Travis Brewster is from Cedar Rapids, Iowa and starred at Iowa Lakes Community College.
*Assistant coach Mallory Youngblut is from Davenport, Iowa and was a standout player for Assumption High School. She also recently coached Assumption to back-to-back state 3A titles (2012, 2013).
*True freshman Madison Kramer is from Cedar Rapids as well (Washington  H.S.).

IT’S A MADI, MADISON, MADISON WORLD
(Totally useless stat of the week)
UND boasts two Madisons (Madi Buck, Madison Kramer) and a player from Madison, Wis. (Makailah Dyer).

THREE TO 1,000?
Seniors Allyssa Wall (734), Madi Buck (714) and Megan Lauck (692)all have a shot at surpassing the 1,000-point plateau this season and would look to become just the third UND trio of teammates to be in four figures in the same season. (1999 (4)- Jenny Crouse, Jaime Pudenz, Tiffany Pudenz, Katie Richards; 1997 (3)- Kelli Britz, Jenny Crouse, Tiffany Pudenz.)

A BIT ABOUT LAST SEASON (11-18)
