Complete 2013 Schedule

GRAND FORKS, N.D. –
The kickoff times for North Dakota’s seven-game home football schedule have been set for the 2013 season. UND will play its first four games of the campaign at the Alerus Center, including the Big Sky conference opener vs. Montana State on Sept. 28 (2:30 p.m. CT).

The Bobcats are one of four opponents ranked in the top 10 of Athlon Sports Inc., Top 25 preseason poll and one of three 2012 FCS playoff participants that will play in Grand Forks this season. Montana State, who is ranked No. 2 in that poll, shared the Big Sky regular season title with Eastern Washington, who is ranked No. 7 in the Athlon poll and will visit the Alerus Center on Oct. 12 (2:30 p.m. CT). Both the Bobcats and Eagles won a pair of FCS playoff games in 2012.

South Dakota State, who has not played UND since the 2010 season and will play in Grand Forks for the first time since UND’s national championship season in 2001, will be the Potato Bowl USA opponent on Sept. 7. Kickoff for the game against the Jackrabbits, who also made the FCS playoffs and are ranked 10th in the Athlon poll, is at 6 p.m.

The home opener is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 29 vs. Valparaiso at 7 p.m. UND will wrap up non-conference play against a fellow Big Sky opponent as Montana returns to Grand Forks for the second consecutive season and the 2013 Hall of Fame Game. UND defeated the Grizzlies 40-34 in a thrilling Big Sky clash last season. Kickoff against the Griz, who are ranked ninth in the Athlon poll, is scheduled for 6 p.m.

UND’s final two home games are Big Sky tilts against Sacramento State (Oct. 19; 2:30 p.m. CT), who will be making its first ever trip to the Peace Garden State, and Northern Colorado (Nov. 9; 1 p.m.), who also last visited UND during the 2001 Division II title run.
