GRAND FORKS, N.D.-- The senior duo of Megan Lauck and Madi Buck led host North Dakota to a 78-66 win over Bemidji State Tuesday in the team's final exhibition. Lauck hit 9 of 13 from the floor en route to a game-high 25 points for UND.

UND had to overcome a nine-point first-half deficit and trailed at the break, but put together a nice stretch in the early stages of the second frame to build a lead and never look back.

A 14-2 Bemidji State run in the first half put BSU out in front, 33-24 with 3:36 to play. From there, Lauck scored a long two and a triple, part of eight points before the end of the half to inch the margin to two at the break, 39-37.

Allyssa Wall scored five straight North Dakota points to start the second frame then Lauck later kickstarted a 10-0 UND spurt with another triple. Siri Burck followed with a triple of her own and Lauck's layup ended the run and kept the home team in front for good.

Back-to-back threes by Hanna Zerr and Morgan Lee sliced the UND lead down to a half-dozen but Wall answered with a jumper and Lauck buried another three to keep the Beavers at bay.

Two North Dakota players notched double-doubles as Buck chipped in 11 rebounds with her 17 points and sophomore Mia Loyd registered 14 points and 11 boards.

Jessie Althoff totaled 16 points to lead Bemidji State while Lee and Zerr each contributed 14 points for the visitors.

North Dakota will open the regular season Sunday with a trip to Ames, Iowa to battle No. 20/23 Iowa State. Tip is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. Central.
