GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Playing to a 2-2 tie Friday afternoon at Bronson Field, the University of North Dakota women's soccer team tied South Dakota for a third-consecutive time.

After a 4-4 tie in 2012 in and a 0-0 tie in 2011, UND and USD will have to wait another year for a chance to claim a win over each other.

North Dakota (1-7-1) took advantage off a sluggish start by South Dakota (4-2-3), netting two goals, only 35 seconds apart, in the 10th minute.

Sophomore midfielder Caitlin Dahl created the first opportunity, lofting a high ball up the middle to freshman striker Robyn Wujkowski. Beating her defender, Wujkowski chipped the ball over USD's goalkeeper Mackenzie Viktor to score her second goal of the season.

After the restart, UND went back on the attack and sophomore Andrea Hyduke collected a shot that rebounded off the right post, to net her first collegiate goal.

With the two goals separated by just 35 seconds, it marks the second-fastest margin between two UND goals in program history.

North Dakota's goalkeeper Kristi Hestdalen played well in net, making a total of six saves in the contest, including three in the first half.

Before the first half ended, South Dakota responded with a goal from Elena Tsakakis, and Danielle Anderson tied the game in the 50th minute.

However, after four goals in the first 50 minutes of play, there would be no more scoring for the final 60 minutes of the contest, as both overtimes came and went without a deciding goal.

North Dakota hits the road for the final contest of the weekend and final nonconference match of the season, traveling to South Dakota State on Sunday. The match is set to begin at 1 p.m.
