GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- The University of North Dakota soccer team plays in two exhibition matches this weekend in a final tune-up before beginning the 2014 season. UND travels to Minneapolis on Friday, Aug. 15, to scrimmage the Golden Gophers and returns home to host Viterbo on Monday, Aug. 18.

Friday's exhibition against the Gophers will begin at 7 p.m. at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium and is free to the public.

Monday's scrimmage against the V-Hawks will start at 11 a.m. at Bronson Field.

The two exhibition matches will serve as a final tune-up for the 2014 season, which begins Friday, Aug. 22, as UND takes on in-state rival North Dakota State at 7 p.m., in Fargo, N.D.

Head coach Matt Kellogg enters his second year at the helm of the UND soccer program. Kellogg returns 10 letterwinners from last season, including senior goalkeeper, and Big Sky Conference saves lead in 2013, Kristi Hestdalen. In addition to the 10 returners, Kellogg adds 11 freshmen to the squad for 2014.
