2012-13 (Junior): One of five finalists (all sports) for UND’s Glenn “Red” Jarrett Male Athlete of the Year Award … Qualified for the 2013 NCAA Division I Track and Field West Preliminary Championships … Placed 19th among 48 competitors in the discus  after entering the meet ranked 31st … Threw a mark of 176 feet, 8 inches … Also finished 45th in the shot put with a mark of 51-06.25 … Became first All-Big Sky Conference performer in UND men’s track history with a third-place finish in the shot put at the Big Sky Conference Outdoor Championship … Logged a throw of 53-11.75 … Also placed sixth in the discus with a throw of 163-02 … Placed fourth in the shot put at the Big Sky Conference Indoor Championship … His mark of 56-06.75 was the second-best in school history … Recorded the third-best weight throw in UND history at the Big Sky Indoor Championship with a mark of 55-10.25 … Named Big Sky Conference Men’s Field co-Athlete of the Week on May 7, the first such honor in program history … Received the award after throwing the top Big Sky discus and shot put marks of the weekend at the NDSU Tune-Up ... His discus throw of 177 feet was not only a personal record, but the second-best mark in the Big Sky Conference all season to that point … Also just missed his PR in the shot put, reaching 56-08 inches … Won the shot put and set a facility record at NDSU’s Thundering Herd Classic with a mark of 52 feet-10.25 … Also won the shot put at the Jim Drake Invitational with a mark of 54-02.75 … Won the discus at Coastal Carolina’s Shamrock Invitational with a throw of 168-02 … Also recorded a PR shot put mark of 56-11.25 at the same meet that was also an NCAA qualifying mark … Earned third letter.

2011-12 (Sophomore): Great West Conference outdoor champion in the shot put with a personal-record mark of 52-09.25 ... Was also the GWC outdoor runner-up in the discus with a throw of 160-8 and placed fifth in the hammer throw (174-8) ... GWC indoor runner-up in the shot put with a throw of (50-6.75 ... Also placed sixth in the weight throw at the GWC Indoor Championship with a mark of 49-4.25 ... Won the shot put at North Dakota State (outdoor) with a throw of 50-3.5 ... Was also the runner-up in the discus at NDSU at 159-01 ... Broke the school record in the hammer throw twice in one week in late April (later broken by teammate Jakob Bissell) ... Broke it the second time at the Cobber Twilight (April 24) with a mark of 180-2 ... Originally broke it earlier in the week at the Long Beach State Invitational (April 21) with a throw of 177-10, breaking standard that had previously stood for seven years ... Won the shot put at the Bison Classic (indoor) with a GWC-best mark of 52-01.75 ... Won the discus at the Cobber Twilight (161-3), the Bison Invite (162-9) and the UNC-Wilmington Seahawk Invitational (158-7) ... Named to Athletics Director's Fall Honor Roll ... Earned second letter.

2010-11 (Freshman): Placed third in the discus (155-9.25, sixth in the shot put (48-8.25) and eighth in the hammer throw (142-1) at the 2011 Great West Conference Outdoor Championship ... Placed fourth in the shot put (49-7.25) at the GWC Indoor Championship ... Won the discus at the UND-NDSU Dual (163-5), the South Dakota State Twilight Meet (157-8) and the UND-SDSU-USD Double Dual (161-3) ... Earned first letter.

Before UND: A 2010 graduate of Eveleth-Gilbert High School ... Lettered four times in track and field and was a two-time state discus champion ... Also won a state championship in the shot put ... Two-time Mesabi Daily News Track Athlete of the Year ... An all-conference running back and linebacker in football.
