GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Northern Arizona was picked as the preseason favorite in both the men’s and women’s Big Sky Conference Outdoor Track & Field coaches’ polls released by the conference office earlier today.

NAU was the unanimous No. 1 in the men’s poll, while its women’s team received seven of 11 first-place votes.

North Dakota, which opened the outdoor season last week at UNC Wilmington, was ranked 10th in the men’s poll and 11th in the women’s poll.

Voting is calculated by each team receiving 11 points for a first-place vote, 10 points for a second-place vote, etc. Coaches were allowed to vote for their own teams. Below are the final results with the number of first-place votes in parenthesis.
