Wharram gets Shamrock Invite underway for UND

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- North Dakota freshman Parker Wharram made his collegiate 10K debut today during the first day of competition at the Coastal Carolina Shamrock Invitational.

Wharram, a native of Independence, Minn., clocked a time of 33 minutes, 32.51 seconds in his first career 10K race. He finished 10th among 16 competitors.

The 10K was the lone event held during Thursday's first day of competition. The Shamrock Invitational continues on Friday and Saturday.
