MINNEAPOLIS – Sophomore D’Monte Farley and junior Nate Peterson won their respective events today for North Dakota at the University of Minnesota’s Northwest Open.

Farley, a USA Junior Championships All-American a year ago, won the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.93 seconds, which was also good for a Big Sky Conference automatic qualifier. The Cottage Grove, Minn., native also took seventh in the long jump with a leap of 20 feet, 10 ½ inches.
