AMES, Iowa -- North Dakota junior distance runner Nate Peterson established a new personal record time in the mile run today at Iowa State's Bill Bergan Invitational.

Peterson ran a time of 4 minutes, 11.97 seconds to eclipse his previous PR of 4:19.58 set last year at the same meet. His time today also stood as the sixth-best mile run in the Big Sky this season.

Peterson was one of a handful of UND runners who logged PR's today, including the duo of Isaiah Frohling and Dwight Mandimika, who both did it in the undseeded 800-meters. Frohling ran a time of 1:57.55, while Mandimika clocked in at 1:58.70.

Another notable performance was that of freshman Tyler Olson in the 400-meters. The Buffalo, Minn., native crossed the line in 49.37 seconds, giving him the seventh-best time in the Big Sky this season.
