COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.-- The University of North Dakota women's swimming and diving teams split a pair of decisions at a triangular meet hosted by the U.S. Air Force Academy. UND defeated Seattle, 144-88, while the host Falcons earned a 156-77 decision over UND Friday night.

Morgan Lynch was runner-up in the 1000 freestyle, etching an 11:05.03 time with teammate Madeline Smith close behind in third (11:11.13). Lynch had another second place showing with her 5:25.66 finish in the 500 free. Ali Church was third in that event (5:30.43). Kelsey Richels gained a fourth-place finish in the 200 freestyle with her 1:59.08 effort while Church took sixth in that event (2:04.20) and Allison Maxwell touched just after her for seventh (2:04.22).

Kara Fisher was second in the 50 freestyle with her 24.72 time. She grabbed another second place, this time in the 100 free (54.40) while Richels was third (54.68). Veronica Medon took second in the 200 backstroke (2:09.90) and later finished fourth in the 200 IM with a 2:13.76 clocking. Teresa DiGregorio garnered fourth in the 200 fly, touching in 2:16.56 and Smith was sixth (2:24.10).

In diving, Jen Anklan highlighted UND's efforts Friday with a second place from the 1-meter board, scoring 236.20.

UND's 200 freestyle relay squad finished the night by taking the win with a 1:40.47 time (Courtney Funk, Fisher, Sami Puk and Maxwell).

The meet concludes Saturday with all three teams back in action.
