CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Senior Greg Hardin continues to rack up preseason accolades this summer as he was among 34 FCS players named to the watch list for the 2013 College Football Performance Awards Kickoff Returner Award.

Hardin, who was named to the watch list for the CFPA Wide Receiver Award earlier this summer, led the Big Sky Conference with a 31.2 yards per kickoff return average in 2012. The best of his 16 returns came in a comeback win over Southern Utah on Nov. 3.

With UND trailing 16-0 midway through the second quarter, Hardin took a kickoff back 98 yards for a touchdown to ignite a rally in a game that the Green and White would go on to win 33-29.

The 98-yard return was also the second longest in UND history, trailing only Dan Martinsen's 100-yard return for a score at North Dakota State in 1969.

UND opens the 2013 season on Thursday, Aug. 29 against Valparaiso at 7 p.m.  The game vs. the Crusaders will be the first of seven home games at the Alerus Center.

Season tickets on sale now: Starting at $75 per seat, season tickets for UND’s 2013 football season are now available. The seven-game home schedule is the best of the DI era and features matchups with four preseason top 10 teams: South Dakota State, Montana, Montana State, and Eastern Washington.
