GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- University of North Dakota head softball coach Eric Oakley announced the addition of seven student-athletes during the early signing period. Hannah Bergh (Orono, Minn.), Maria Dendinger (Hillsboro, Ore.), Mckenzie Hanegraaf (Apple Valley, Minn.), Shelby Hard (Hartland, Mich.), Kaitlin Hendrickson (North Muskegon, Mich.), Erica Wise (Kenosha, Wis.) and Michaela Zins (Lakeville, Minn.) will begin their careers at UND in the fall of 2014.

“Pitching and power hitting are the themes of this class, as several of these student-athletes can change the game with one swing," Oakley said. "Essentially we found the best sticks we could find and have assembled a class of diversified athletes who can play multiple positions while putting runs on the board.”

“With the addition of Bergh & Zins we complete the work of solidifying the future of our pitching staff that started with the 2013 class. Our goal Big Sky championship, and NCAA tournament success.  This class helps to continue those pursuits and will likely produce several starters in years to come.”
