MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.- Three UND divers were in action for the NCAA Division I Zone D meet. The zone meet is one of five regional meets that determines qualifiers for the NCAA Championships in Indianapolis at the end of the month.

WEDNESDAY
"What a great way to end," UND diving coach Brian Strom said after Wednesday's men's platform event. "Richard Eberle broke his own school record and just missed out on the finals. He will leave UND as the best male diver this school has ever seen."

Eberle book-ended his best two dives Wednesday, scoring 54.00 on his first attempt. He would finish the round and his superb career with a 51.80 effort to score a career-best 290.55 and place 14th at the meet.

TUESDAY
"Yesterday we saw just how deep the field is," UND diving coach Brian Strom said. "Richard Eberle had a good day with only 405, that could have been better. He'll look to finish strong Wednesday with the platform event."

Eberle was 32nd (262.25) while Michael Golling (239.40) took 36th from the 3-meter board Tuesday.

"Rachael Waldbillig had a good day on the women's side," Strom said. "She ended a great career of diving here at UND."

Waldbillig was 41st from the 1-meter board with a 218.40 score.

MONDAY
"This is always the toughest diving meet of the year," UND diving coach Brian Strom said. "It was a very long day but we had some good performances. Rachael Waldbillig and Richard Eberle each had good days today. We're ready for another long day tomorrow and set for men's 1-meter and women's 3-meter tomorrow."

Eberle missed qualifying for finals but just two places by taking 20th with a 331.30 score in the 3-meter event. Teammate Michael Golling scored 237.90 for 37th.

Waldbillig finished the day in 42nd with a 208.95 score in the 1-meter event.
