UND wraps up fall season at ASU Fall Beach Classic

Gulf Shores, Ala. - Junior Collin Lervick and senior Sean Halverson turned in solid rounds of 73 and 75, respectively, on Tuesday to close out both the Arkansas State Fall Beach Classic and North Dakota golf team's fall season.

Only six golfers in the 73-man field shot a better score than Lervick on Tuesday, who opened the tournament yesterday with scores of 91 and 77. He finished tied for 67th (241, +25), while Halverson was the most consistent among UND's five golfers, tying for 61st with a 54-hole total of 238 (+22).

Sophomore Aaron Pulanco also shot in the 70's during his final round after opening play with a 166 total on Monday. Pulanco, like Lervick and Halverson, improved his score during each of the tournament's three rounds.

West Florida captured the team title with a three-round total of 868 (+4) after pulling away from an opening-round tie with Memphis. The Argos shot a 288 (E) in Tuesday's final round to claim the eight-shot victory over Louisiana-Monroe (876, +12). Memphis finished in third (878, +14) two shots behind ULM.

UND will resume its season in the spring at the Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invite hosted by Southern Utah in St. George, Utah.
