GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The University of North Dakota head men’s golf coach Rob Stiles released his team’s schedule for the 2012-13 season on Thursday. Stiles and his squad will spend their fall season in the Midwest before embarking on a five-tournament spring slate that features tournaments in Arizona, Nevada, California and Texas.

“This schedule is quite a bit different than last year,” Stiles said. “We have five new tournaments, so it will be a whole new look for our guys. We have some great trips planned and the layout is set up pretty good to keep our guys fresh and in tournament action throughout the season.”

UND will open its season at a familiar tournament when the team will tee it up at the Fairway Club Invitational (Sept. 9-10) hosted by Nebraska at the Arbor Links Golf Course in Nebraska City. The remaining two fall tournaments will be played close to home as the team will play in the Erv Kaiser Invitational (Sept. 17-18) at the Oxbow Country Club in Fargo and the South Dakota State Invitational at the Minnehaha Country Club in Sioux Falls, S.D.

The opener for the spring season will be another tournament hosted by North Dakota State. The Quintero Invitational (Feb. 25-26) will be played in Peoria, Ariz., at the Quintero Golf and Country Club.

UND will take another crack at the Jackrabbit Invitational (Mar. 11-13) hosted by South Dakota State at the Primm Valley Golf Club in Primm, Nev.

Back-to-back trips to California will close out the regular season as UND will play in the CSUB Invitational (Mar. 25-26) at the Bakersfield Country Club before returning to the Golden State in mid-April for the Winchester Classic. The three-day event is played at the Winchester Country Club in Meadow Vista, Calif.

The 2012 America Sky Championship will be played in the Lone Star State this season as league teams will play the three-day event in San Antonio at the Dominion Country Club.
