Primm, Nev. - Senior Nick Schaefer turned in three rounds of even-par or better golf at the Jackrabbit Invitational to tie for 10th and lead the North Dakota men's golf team to a ninth place finish in the team standings. Schaefer completed his second round on Tuesday, carding a 71 (-1) and followed that up with a 72 (E) in his third round to finish the tournament with a 54-hole total of 213 (-3).

Schaefer's efforts helped UND post consecutive team scores of 295 (+7) in rounds two and three at the Desert Course at the Primm Valley Golf Club. The 14-team field was able to get the day started on time unlike Monday when the teams could not complete the opening two rounds.

UND finished with a total score of 880 (+16), while Air Force blasted the field with a -35 team score of 828. The next closest team was Idaho (841, -22), who was 13 strokes off the pace set by the Falcons.

Senior Alex Robb, who opened the tournament with a 65 (-7), finished with a three-round total of 216 and was even par for the tournament. He placed in a tie for 14th, while sophomore Collin Lervick tied for 27th (218, +2) after shooting an even-par 72 in the second round and better that by two strokes in his final round (70, -2).

Junior Sean Halverson turned in his best round of the tournament in round three with a 75 (+3).
