BROOKINGS, S.D. -- With senior standout Tyler Rose once again leading the way, the Fighting Sioux men's cross country team placed fourth today at the SDSU Classic.
Rose ran the 8K race at the Edgebrook Golf Course in 26:19.5, good for a 13th-place finish for the native of Brainerd, Minn.
Rose and the Sioux finished with 126 points. Nebraska won the race with 23 points, while host SDSU finished second and Northern Iowa placed third.
UND will have one more tuneup -- Oct. 15 at the USD Tim Young Invitational -- before the 2011 Great West Conference Championship hosted by UND on Oct. 29.
