GRAND FORKS, N.D. - The University of North Dakota men's cross country team has cracked the regional rankings for the first time as a Division I program.
In the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division I regional cross country rankings released today, UND is ranked No. 14 in the Midwest Region.
UND, under 28th-year head coach Dick Clay, opened the 2012 season on Aug. 31 at North Dakota State's Bison Duals, and defeated rivals NDSU and South Dakota State. UND was idle last weekend but returns to action on Friday, Sept. 14, at the South Dakota State Classic.
